The foundation aims to improve international networks and knowledge regarding all asbestos related matters for asbestos professionals across sectors and borders. Its ultimate purpose: saving lives, because nobody needs to die from entirely preventable asbestos deaths. Its motto: Collaboration, Acceleration, Eradication!

The foundation was founded in 2014 by Dr. Yvonne Waterman LL.M. FFAAM, who serves as its President. So far, it has (co-) hosted and organised global asbestos conferences in Amsterdam, Brussels, London, Bogotá (Colombia) and Bergen (Norway).
