Adrian joined the English law firm Irwin Mitchell in 1990 and became a partner in the personal injury department in 1994. He has a special interest in asbestos related disease cases, particularly mesothelioma (e.g. his client June Hancock) and has written and lectured widely on asbestos disease and personal injury litigation.
Adrian is an early pioneer of developing the law for people living with mesothelioma and other asbestos diseases, to expedite access to compensation for an illness caused by negligent employers. Now, decades on, he is still as passionate about the people and families he represents as a lawyer and the asbestos support groups that he and his colleagues champion. Adrian has been awarded an OBE in 2026.
